Letter from the Board, Winter 2017

Thank you for helping make Louisiana Peace Corps Association a strong and colorful community. Last year was filled with lively gatherings and there is more on the horizon.

We will continue striving to accommodate the diverse interests of our membership base. Each one of you contribute in unique ways and keep our Peace Corps spirit burning bright. To improve our programming and explore new initiatives, you’ll be seeing a membership survey in the coming weeks. We hope you share your voice, and one lucky winner will receive a gift card for participating. Keep your eyes peeled.

This organization would not be possible without your involvement. If you haven’t paid your annual membership dues, now is the time. They are just $15. These funds ensure we have the resources to support timely, dynamic, and inclusive events and activities. Your energy moves us forward. Dues can be paid via PayPal on our website https://lapeacecorps.com/membership/

LPCA Holiday Potluck Flyer.jpg

LPCA’s holiday potluck is here! Monday, December 12th, starting at 7PM!! We’re ready to share in the good holiday spirits — so make sure to bring ’em! Come relax and share some love with your Peace Corps family before the holidays get too crazy. All are welcome, the more the merrier!

Bring a dish, a friend or three, a hotty toddy, or just yourself!

Also, we need YOU! Ready for a little bit of leadership and a lot of fun? Time to tag-team in! LPCA is in need of several folks to step into some Board Member roles. Up for grabs…Social Chair, Service Chair, Treasurer, Advocacy Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, and Parade Coordinator. Let’s keep LPCA’s momentum going for 2017! Onward and upward. Let’s talk about how you can help over some good food and spirits!

Thanks so much to our lovely host, RPCV Shayna Goldfine, for having us.
